Proverbs 19:1 (KJV) Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Integrity

• the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

Joseph was a poor young man and a slave who was rejected by his brothers,he had no home to return to nor a person to cry to,but despite all that Joseph displayed the highest level of integrity.

Two lessons from Joseph

1. He valued others despite their religion or background

• The Egyptians were not christians unlike Joseph but Joseph worked hard under portiphar’s house despite their differences and Potiphar’s house was blessed because of him.

Lesson

• Don’t treat people differently because you differ in religion or pespection,even if you boss at work is a non believer or different from you,treat his bussiness with respect the same way you will treat yours always remember “Integrity is doing the
  right thing when
  noone is Watching”

1. He valued Bible principles more than his Life.

• Joseph was young and single,I believe he also had feelings and sexual desires just like other young man. Sleeping with portiphar’s wife could give him two things (1)Favour from potipha’s wife since she was the wife’s boss and also to (2)fuffil his sexual appetite.

Lesson

• Don’t allow your body and appetite consume your morals,always value God principles more than money or anything. Always remember

“Integrity is choosing You thought and actions based on Value rather than Personal gain.”

• Don’t compromise the word of God because because life is pressuring you, Wait for God and he will renew your strength it’s better to be poor with integrity don’t allow your tongue be your your grave.
