Five people lost their lives after gunmen stormed a home in Cape Town during the early hours of Monday morning in the latest mass shooting to rock the city.
According to police, two armed suspects allegedly kicked down the front door before forcing their way into the house and opening fire on the occupants.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the bodies of four men and one woman, aged between 19 and 23. All five victims were declared dead at the scene.
A 20-year-old woman who survived the attack after sustaining gunshot wounds was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects and are urging anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact law enforcement.
