A man has been shot and killed in an alleged road rage incident in Kempton Park, Gauteng. According to eyewitnesses, the incident began after the man was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle.
The man reportedly stopped and attempted to take pictures of the vehicles involved in the crash when an argument broke out between him and the occupants of the other vehicle.
It is alleged that a firearm was then produced during the confrontation. Witnesses claim the man tried to flee from the scene, but was allegedly shot in the back as he ran away.
He reportedly managed to travel a short distance before collapsing and dying from his injuries. Police have since arrived at the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Shooting footage emerges
Footage purportedly showing the shooting has since surfaced, adding another dimension to the investigation. The circumstances leading up to the collision are also likely to come under scrutiny as investigators work to establish exactly what happened.
One question now being raised is whether the initial collision was simply an accident or whether it could have been deliberately caused to force the victim to stop.
At this stage, there is no confirmed evidence that the collision was a deliberate set-up, and the allegation remains speculation. Police will be expected to examine the footage, witness accounts and other available evidence to determine how the incident unfolded.
The identity of the victim and the identities of those allegedly involved have not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing and further details are expected as police continue processing the crime scene.
