Daily Devotion: Don’t Allow The World to Change You
The Narrow Path
Daily Devotion
- Ecc 3:2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
On this Earth, different times and seasons will come our way. Just because you are a Christian, it doesn’t mean that all your problems will vanish. Challenges will still arise, but it is how you respond to them that truly shows your character. In the story of Joseph, he was betrayed by his siblings, yet he chose to forgive and show them love. So, remember, your reactions in tough times reflect your true self.
When Potiphar’s wife tried to tempt Joseph, he made the brave choice to run away instead of giving in to her desires. In life, powerful individuals may try to pressure us to do things that go against our values, just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were forced to bow to the king. It is important to stay true to ourselves and our beliefs, even when faced with such challenges.
It is important to remember that you should not let life’s challenges define who you are. Your identity should not be based solely on your past experiences. You have the power to make a positive impact in the world and should not let external influences change your true self. Remember that you are meant to be an influencer, not someone who is easily influenced. Stay strong in your beliefs and allow only the word of God to guide your path.
